What hard water does to coastal glass
Sprinkler overspray and salt-laden marine air leave mineral deposits that bond to the surface of the glass. Left alone long enough they etch into it permanently, and no amount of ordinary washing will take them off.
Homes within a mile or two of the water see this faster than inland properties. Ocean-facing elevations and shower doors are usually the worst affected.
What's included
Hard water and mineral removal is included at no extra charge with every window cleaning we do. Heavier deposits take more time and more aggressive treatment, and we will tell you up front whether the staining will come out completely or only improve.
If the glass is already etched through, we will say so rather than charge you to find out. Replacing a pane is sometimes the honest answer, and we would rather tell you that than take the money.
